Kevin Kane, DO
Dr. Kane completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Michigan State University and obtained Board Certification by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR) as well as the American Osteopathic College of Rehabilitation Medicine (AOCPMR).
For 20 years Dr. Kane has specialized in musculoskeletal and neurologic pain, and workers’ compensation claim management. He is well-known in the community for his experience weighing the facts of a claim and the rights of all parties. He routinely does Arbiter exams for the State of Oregon, and Independent Medical Exams to settle disputes.
Avocationally, he enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and children, including hiking and team sports, and is active in his church community.
Brianna Hoffmann-Welch, MD
Dr. Brianna Welch is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician who was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She attended the University of California, Berkeley for her undergraduate degree, where she studied cellular and molecular biology and was a competitive member of the triathlon team. She earned her medical degree and completed her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida.
After completing her residency, Dr. Welch moved back to Portland, bringing her passion for treating patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal and spine injuries to her hometown. She is a firm believer in giving patients her undivided attention during appointments, and emphasizes building trust with them as a foundation of the patient-doctor relationship. She works closely with other team members to create a coordinated care plan which best addresses each patient’s individual concerns, unique lifestyle, and specific treatment goals.
In addition to her practice, Dr. Welch is an active member of the American Medical Association and the Oregon Medical Board. She enjoys staying up-to-date on current events, reading historical fiction, and spending time outdoors with her husband, son, and their three dogs.
Patrick Pua, PT
Patrick Pua graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. Patrick has been practicing orthopedic physical therapy since 1989. He has undergone extensive training in Martland based therapy, Mulligan's technique, Osteopathic Muscle Energy, Graston Technique and has incorporated these into his manual therapy practice.
His specialties include spinal and extremity rehabilitation, functional movement analysis, headache and complex foot analysis including orthotics fabrication.
Patrick enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, traveling, and exploring new experiences with food and wine. He is also an aspiring wood worker.
Jonathan Gingrich, PTA
A recent transplant to Portland, Jon spent the last 4 years working as a PTA in the orthopedic outpatient setting in the Denver Metro Area. Jon completed his PTA program at Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado, in 2015, and since then Jon has enjoyed working with individuals in returning to function after injury or other physical set back. Outside of work, Jon is busy with two young boys and exploring the Pacific Northwest by hiking, biking and making trips to the coast.
Tom Walker, PTA
Tom has been a PTA for over 38 years working in a variety of settings from inpatient rehab to Skilled Nursing Facilities to Outpatient Clinics including TMJ, neuro, sports medicine, and orthopedic.
He loves treating each patient as an individual, developing PT treatments in conjunction with Patrick Pua, PT, that fit their unique situation on a treatment by treatment basis, and seeing the progress they make to return to their prior living style.
It is the people he meets and learns from that keeps him going as a PTA.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, grandchildren, and 2 cats. His main focus outside of family is attending concerts with his wife.
Scotti Gamboa, PTA
Scotti Gamboa is a Physical Therapist Assistant born and raised in Oregon. She attended Linfield University for her undergraduate degree in Business Management, prior to completing her PTA program at Mt. Hood Community College in 2020.
In her spare time, she enjoys trying out new restaurants, baking and playing board games with her husband and friends.
Deidre Schuetz, LMT
Deidre Schuetz has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2006. She focuses her treatments and self-care suggestions to address the root causes of pain, discomfort, and/or imbalances and sustain overall wellness.
She incorporates wellness wisdom into her practice from her six years of international immersion in Africa, South America, and Europe; extensive sports, dance, and yoga background; and academic training (International Studies, Spanish, Arts and Administration, Social Entrepreneurship, and Nonprofit Management).
Deidre comes from six generations of Willamette Valley Oregonians and trilingual (English, French, Spanish).
Melissa Rister, PT
Melissa Rister graduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. After working in television for 5 years, she decided to move back home to Portland and change careers. She studied massage therapy at National Holistic Institute, and has since gained an Associate of Science degree from Portland Community College. She has also completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Pacific University in Hillsboro.
In her spare time Melissa enjoys singing, songwriting (and song appreciating), cycling, dancing (sometimes with fire!), running, yoga, and spending time with friends and family. She doesn’t cook, but always enjoys the culinary masterpieces of others.
Rebecca Herrin, LAc
Rebecca graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2002.
Her specialties include treating patients suffering from pain, stress, allergies, headaches, sleep disorders, menstrual disorders, infertility and much more.
